1-It’s got a more powerful engine-The 2021 Toyota Fortuner will get a more powerful engine compared to the current model.The current Model is a 4 cylinder Diesel engine which churns out 177 HP with 400NM of torque and the facelift will get 204HP with 450NM of torque.
2-It will come in two different lines-The 2021 Toyota Fortuner will get 2 different lines.One will be the normal Fortuner which we get in India.And the other one is The Fortuner Legender.The Legender will be the more stylish,Powerful,more feature loaded ETC.But I am not sure will this come to India or not.
3-It gets Ambient Lighting-The new Fortuner Legender gets a massive feature in ambient lighting which we saw in its rivals such as Endeavour and Alturas G4.But I am not sure whether this feature will come in India or not.
4-It gets a bigger and better infotainment screen-The ongoing fortuner gets a 7 inch infotainment system which I don’t really like.But Toyota listened to the customers and introduced new infotainment systems.The normal version will get a 8 inch touchscreen and Legender will get 9 inch touchscreen respectively.
5-Still no Sunroof-This time also Toyota hasn’t given the fortuner a Sunroof.Even after several good features like ambient light and infotainment system.But no sunroof.But in my opinion a sunroof is not needed in Indian conditions.But after spending 45 lakhs we should get one.if not standard just give it with the accessories pack:).
Overall the fortuner is a great car with comfort and Off road capabilities.And a big upgrade from the ongoing model:).
